South of Spain with a 8 month old

We're flying to Spain with our 8 month old and it'd be great to understand how to plan our days in the South of Spain:

Our plan:
Fly to Barcelona 20th -25th (5 nights)
25th Morning Fly from Barcelona to Granada and rent a car.

We have 8 nights and and will be flying out of Madrid early morning on the 3rd.

From the forums I've read I'd like to visit :
Granada(2 nights)--> Malaga--> Marbella(1 night)--> Rhonda-->Tarifa(1 night)--> Cadiz--> Seville(3 nights)-->Madrid (1 night)

My question : Is this a good distribution or am I being too ambitious?
Which cities should we skip (if any)?

And while we're at it :Any restaurant recommendations along the way for Cochinillo Asado (Roast Suckling Pig).

In my opinion, this is way too ambitious. Travelling with a baby takes so long to pack up all the paraphernalia, unpack same on the other side, mess around with bottles etc. You'll spend most of your trip travelling, packing and unpacking, in between attending to baby's needs. I did a similar trip to South Africa, slightly less hectic, with my then 9-month old, and it wasn't a holiday as conventionally understood.

Again I feel you are trying to fit in too much and perhaps haven't understood everything that might apply to your trip with such a young child. Please remember that southern Spain is VERY hot at this time of year. You may not be able to cope with the midday sun - nor your little one. Also in this part of Spain meal times are later than elsewhere plus there is the matter of the afternoon siesta from approx 2 pm to 5 pm when many places are closed. Lunch is often from 2 pm to 4 pm and evening dinner from 10 pm although tourist places may open earlier and of course there's also McDo and its local equivalents.

You'll need a good car seat, air con and plenty of water for starters, plus your little one might have problems with jet lag. I know there's so much to see in Andalucia, but you might be better to simplify your itinerary, spending a bit longer in Granada so you can make a trip to Cordoba (definitely worth it) and also keep Seville. Malaga and Marbella are probably less important unless you want to go to the seaside and see where the rich park their yachts. I'd also reconsider Ronda and Tarifa, but include Cadiz.

So I'd suggest looking for an itinerary that would give you the possiblilty of doing a round trip and then flying from Seville to Madrid and home ....

Barcelona to Granada (depending on flight arrival time) and drive to Cordoba - 1 night
Cordoba - 1 further night
Drive to Granada - 3 nights
Drive to Seville - 2 nights
Drop off car, fly to Madrid and spend the night at an airport hotel

Just my tuppence worth ... but have a lovely time whatever you decide to do ... do you really need 5 nights in Barcelona?
