Southwest Airlines to begin Boston (BOS) service fall 2009 (August 16)
I've heard from a birdie that a new city will be announced VERY soon. Anyone wanna guess where?

I'm hoping for Vancouver, BC.

Rumor has it that @southwestair will announce Boston service tonight - anyone believe the rumors? I suppose we'll find out
I was just browsing the
DL gate consolidation thread , saw the four-gate opening at BOS, and thought, "Now
there is a possibility."

They have already announced # 1 and # 2 on my wish list - MSP and LGA. #3 for me would be CLT.

"WN, Place or..."
Entry : Same as ever.
Seed : And,
WN LUVS U , while you're channeling Mr. Montgomery, like I asked over in the other thread: (Wherever it is) what are the chances it'll blow right past LGA, and really be next?

That should drop some rates. I was just pricing the SNA-SFO route. Currently WN doesn't offer this service direct and the going rate is $369 by AA, US, and UA (1-way, 8 days out). VX has announced direct service starting soon as well as WN. For that same date you can fly SNA-OAK on WN for $99.

Tonight WN is hosting a "Message to the Field" (the "employee function" referred to in the Airliners.net post) in Chicago. That it will be announced by Gary Kelly there seems likely.

I'd really, really rather see CLT than BOS.
I guess the whole "overpriced and underserved" mantra has gone the way of the dodo.....

No, I'm talking about my personal wish list - not where I think they will go.
