WN fares on farecompare (kinda, sorta); alerts forthcoming

Apologies in advance if this has been discussed or I'm just the last one to find out the tidbit below. I've rarely been to farecompare.com and IB's search has been flaky recently (sometimes showing blank results); at best I've found two mentions of farecompare in the history of this forum and neither covered this information.

I noticed a day or two ago that farecompare.com was "kinda sorta" showing WN fares. Instead of being included in the main results, there was a clickable link that looked much like a banner ad, but it had the actual best available southwest.com (non-DING!) price. It also showed a (small) bit of information about flight times and, when appropriate, an indication that a non-stop flight was available. Clicking the link would open a pop-under new browser window with a southwest.com "Select Flight" page for your specific city pairs and travel dates. I checked today and confirmed that kayak/sidestep still only provides an "info" link that requires you to reenter your search on southwest.com.

The bad news: farecompare's site, UI, and search are not especially speedy...or at least they don't feel speedy (which is nearly as important).

While searching to try to figure out if this is a recent development, I ran across this additional information about fare alert enhancements (WN-inclusive) coming soon from farecompare.com.

I've seen these on FC for awhile. I don't fly WN, so I've ignored them.

What's more interesting is that if you go to the YUP search it shows SWA flights.

Well at least farecompare thinks SWA is a "first class" airline.

I gather that you don't think it is a 'first class' airline.

Kayak includes some info for WN flights as well.
