Southwest website outage/blockage?

I purchased a new computer with Vista 64 bit operating system. I cannot log on to the Southwest website. I can access virtually all websites, except Southwest. Who can I contact at SWA?

Define "cannot log on to Southwest website"? What errors are you getting, what results are you seeing? It's more than likely a problem with your new computer's settings so I doubt SWA will be able to help very much, but at the very least they're going to want to know what you mean by "cannot log on".

Does that mean your browser sits there and never connects? You get an message asking for a proxy password? You get a 401 - Authorization Required message? You get a 500 - Internal Server Error message? Your browser crashes? You get "Host has not responded" time out message? Etc.

Also indicate when you experienced the problem. The site has been slow (for me) lately. Also, several times the past few days the main page would not come up although other pages, like the main booking page, would work.

Could be an IPv6 thing... http://wiki.williams.edu/download/at...IPV6_Vista.pdf
It's on WN's end.

If I were you, I'd reformat and install ubuntu. Much easier to deal with.

I find it amusing that you'd consider Microsoft's decision to make their default connection technique a standard that's not widely used yet a problem on someone else's end... ;-)

(FWIW though, I have Vista, have never followed any of those steps to disable IPv6, and have never had connectivity problems to southwest.com)

The screen goes blank, and the message is that it is waiting for Southwest. Never had any problem with SWA on old computer with XP.

I have vista, but I use Firefox - never a problem (unless the WN website is down).

Unable to Access Website

Hi
I'm also finding it difficult (almost impossible) to access the southwest.com website although I can access other sites such as travelocity, orbitz etc.

It basically tries to connect and then says.........

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.

This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including:

Internet connectivity has been lost.
The website is temporarily unavailable.
The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable.
The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain.
If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section

Pls try help as I am trying to book a ticket badly

Thanks
Samanthi
