Ticket Prices are Falling
Check your flights as ticket prices are falling for Jan/Feb. Rebook and get there at a discount.
Have noticed that BWI-FLL and MCO are much cheaper now. It pays to check SWA web site daily.
Fares for Mar to Florida still higher than other airlines. I expect that SWA will see their bookings fall in Mar and will start discounting the Mar fares in late Jan and early Feb.
Anticipated traffic at WDW (and thus MCO) pretty much ceases to exist in late Jan and through February. Good news is that spring break and easter look strong.

Prices have dropped on some routes through 4/30. We don't even get WN here until 3/8, so I only have 4 round trips (16 segments total) booked for the two of us. On 1/1 I was able to reprice 9 of 12 outstanding paid segments (8 others are reward trips from the credit cards, already!) & book 8 more segments at the fare sale rates.
Nice!
I think WN is reacting proactively to retain/build market share in what could be a very slow winter & spring.
It's also good to see that the Wanna Get Away fares have climbed from $69 to >$100 on some flights, so things are selling here!
I have been pleasantly surprised by prices lately. I have been watching a flight from OMA -> MHT for a couple months now. Price was $199 OW for the longest time, then dropped to $159 for a few days and returned to $199. I thought I had missed the boat. Then I checked again and just booked for $88 OW yesterday! Score one for the good guys.
Long time lurker here, finally decided to join up so I could say thanks for saving me $150 for the month of January by rebooking. I suppose I knew it was possible but sometimes you need a jump start like this thread to go make you do it. So thanks again OP!
Yes, I saw some good deals on WN's published Florida fares toward the latter part of last month, too.
Surprisingly, the Ding fares still stink. Frankly, I'd RATHER the Ding fares be the cheap ones because you're more prone to watch these than random fare changes. I don't really understand WN's pricing strategy here -- it does not seem to be coherent. Logic would suggest they'd do better discounting Ding, since competitors would be less likely to match these unpublished fares.
I saw an ALB->BWI DING! for $41 two days ago. Not as good as the heyday of $29 fares, I grant you, but still, that's less half the price I paid when I flew to Baltimore in October....

Not a bad fare, but they're still PUBLISHING BWI-MCO fares for $54. Now THAT's a deal!!
