Problem with CVG is that there are 2-3 alternative regional airports that are already served by WN. Serving CVG would dilute their business at those other airports.
So WestJet is covered and luggage interlines normally unless they fly in from a Canadian airport not on the list of nine.
Porter's flying to MDW from Toronto City (YTZ) their equivalent of Meigs Field. And thus, an airport without U.S. Customs pre-clearance, so it's passengers must clear at MDW like ATA's Mexican flights.

I don't think CLT is a dark horse. The Southeastern US represents a huge hole in the map and WN has a demonstrated history of going into someone else's hub and making their presence known...there are gates at CLT that are owned by the airport and not leased to US and the airport authority has the right to boot US and get someone else to come in. On the US board a while ago an ex-US Capt. talked about this very eloquently and explained that CLT was not an if, but a when, and that it was more in the CLT overlords' hands than anyone else's. ATL is a no-no, and not for competitive reasons; it's all about downline delays.

I don't know if serving all 3 of those airports would mean that the area is overserved. MHT is 55 miles from BOS. PVD is about 50 miles from BOS. They're all pretty far apart.
Look at other cities that have close airports: LAX/SNA/BUR/ONT, OAK/SFO/SJC. BWI and IAD are only 58 miles apart.
I think BOS would be a great idea. And if you're looking for major metro airports....not many left that they haven't addressed.
BOS would be tough due to lack of Gate space.
The last of the available space was recently contracted for by Virgin to fly BOS to SFO and LAX (5 flights total per day to start).
AA and B6 also recently announced BOS expansion of service.

Well...NW is leaving Terminal E to Delta's terminal...maybe that could work?
