Good Lord, man. You make decisions about WN's performance and form judgments about it based on scenes from A&E's AIRLINE?
It's a "reality show," for God's sake. It's completely and utterly contrived, fake from start to finish. Isn't that obvious?
Do you make judgments about the south Pacific based on "Survivor?" Do you form conclusions about Olympic wrestling based on stuff the WWF shovels out? Do you think that "60 Minutes" is unedited?
I just don't know what to say to people like you. It's hopeless.
Apparently, you think that Airline was fiction, performed by actors, using a script. You are "mistaken." If you don't like "mistaken," please insert the charitable euphemism of your choice -- perhaps you can find something from Survivor, WWF or Olympic Wrestling, with which you seem familiar. You are clearly unfamiliar with Airline and how it was produced.
ALL airlines have employees who, from time to time, abuse their discretion. If you believe Southwest doesn't (and that Airline was "completely and utterly contrived, faked from start to finish") then your knowledge of airlines, generally, and Southwest, specifically, is as limited as your knowledge of commercial television production. You are mistaken on all counts (and incredibly rude and uncivil, moderator edits notwithstanding).
NSX, you and I have been able to disagree about this topic, yet still remain civil and polite. However, a number of your minions in here appear to have drunk too much of the KoolAid. I really hope this kind of Omni-like behavior is the exception and not the rule in this forum -- it's certainly not what I expected.

The underwear question will not likely be resolved definitively. However the only rumors that appear credible to me point to a problem other than underwear. Unless you can get the story from someone who was actually on the flight, you'll have to settle for this.

NSX: Do you work for Southwest?
I ask because in the short time I've been on this forum you have displayed an inordinent lack of objectivity.

No, I don't work for Southwest. I fly them a lot, and I like them a lot, though I have been critical from time to time: capacity controls, funds expiration hassles,
and even Ding.
If you have any concerns about moderation, I am happy to respond to PMs on the subject. If you want an official point of view from Southwest, SWABrian is your man.
