  • International plans will be announced January 2014.
  • AirTran absorption will be competed in 2014.
  • Continued focus on winning business travelers.
  • Refraining from nickel and diming customers is a core value.
  • Retaining Southwest's dedicated "fans" is a high priority.
  • 2014 will be the last year to earn a Companion Pass.

Sorry, I was just kidding about that last item. I'm just guessing that the last year to earn CP will be either 2014 or 2015 unless someone decides that the purchase price of 100k points by Chase is sufficient revenue for a CP.

  • Sure.
  • Hopefully, it's been a long time coming.
  • Good luck; BS has been somewhat less than a success so far.
  • Nice to hear the marketing message; lets hope it's more than that.
  • Simply saying that won't win back the "fans" the policy changes have alienated (and continue to alienate).
  • Doubtful, although changes to what points are CPQ are very likely.

We're running out of January.

I suppose the international plans will be discussed next Monday when the schedule extension appears.
