WN announces ATL-RSW/FLL & new city to be announced

Hi All,

Just saw on WN route map. WN will start nonstop ATL-RSW/FLL. When it did happen?

Wait for a real official release from WN sometime on Monday.

Also, there is more new city to be announced. RIC, GRR, MEM, PNS, DAY will conversion into WN metal.

The next new schedule to be release is on Feb 4, 2013.

And also, new weekend nonstop to SJU as well.

The Southwest route map just shows city to city... not just non-stops that includes 1 and sometimes 2 stops. i.e MKE-CLE or CMH include a stop in BWI.

Some changes might be happening with network connection soon. Infact the online schedule for RSW is already showing flights operated by FL. Just a random date I picked http://www.southwest.com/assets/pdfs...2_2000/rsw.pdf Just no connections between WN and FL yet. It will be interesting to see how they connect the two systems.

"Flight Numbers 5001 - 6999 Operated by FL" covers ATL-RSW non-stops effective 14 Feb.

Do you get two free checked bags on the AirTran flight if you book on the Southwest website according to http://www.southwest.com/flight/pop_...l?airline=both, even though the fine print only mentions WN? If you book through AirTran's website, the fees are $25 and $35, 1st and 2nd bags respectively, for the same airfare.

Try booking a code-share flight and see if it charges you for bags.

I checked ATL-FLL and it has the same bags fly free line that you see when booking on a regular WN flight.

As per http://www.southwest.com/flight/pop_...l?airline=both , it appears that Southwest policies are used for all AirTran flights booked on Southwest.com.

You didn't look far enough out. Try the following week:

http://www.southwest.com/assets/pdfs...2_2000/fll.pdf

http://www.southwest.com/assets/pdfs...2_2000/rsw.pdf

Currently, the only code-share flights are AirTran flghts from FLL/RSW to ATL connecting to Southwest flights to ORF/SDF.

It just only a few codeshare flight, but they didn't have expanding more codeshare flight by operated AirTran? How come? They didn't have extended more cities from ATL, BWI, PHL, MKE, FLL, MCO and etc. They need beef up more codeshare flights.

Would you rather everything get released at once and bugs discovered that beta testing didn't find, or do a soft launch with no public release to see how the live system handles it?

Actually, if the computer system is working well. If they goes through. They doesn't have a problem the computer. They will take a time to fixed FL reservation system. They will uploaded from FL old reservation system into WN computer system. They have to working on it.
