A-List Challenge

Just received what I assume is a targeted promo to get A-List this year by flying 3 RTs/6 segments between Jan 30 and April 30. I did some poor planning last year and finished with 23 paid segments, so it's nice I'll be able to get back to A-List pretty quickly this year. It'll make me much more likely to fly Southwest this year.

I also got the promo. I had been A-list for about 5 consecutive years but only did like 13 paid segments last year.

Got my email this morning! Too bad the most recent sale just ended I completed last year's challenge but ended up not traveling like I'd planned to keep status this year.

I got this promo today with instant A-List. Last time I was A-List was in 2012 when they were trying to convert UA flyers to WN after coming to Denver.

My offer to extend through end of 2017:
To extend your A-List status through December 31, 2017, book and complete three qualifying round trip (or six one-way) revenue flights between January 30 and April 30, or earn 8,750 tier qualifying points....

I got it in 2015 after I missed A-List for the first time in a number of years. It's nice to knwo they keep track and actually reach out to good customers.

Also received it - was A-List for 2015-2016, but didn't fly enough last year to get it for 2017. Was already planning that many trips between now and April, so nice to know I can get A-List again quickly!

There are two offers out there. One offer is to complete requirements and then
receive A- for balance of 2017.

The other offer is instant status thru April, but continued A-List through 2017, after meeting requirements.

You have A-List status through April. Fly 3 round trips by April 30 to extend it all year.
Details

Register now, and through April 30 experience A-List status on every flight you take. But it gets better! To extend your A-List status through December 31, 2017, book and complete three qualifying round trip (or six one-way) revenue flights between January 30 and April 30, or earn 8,750 tier qualifying points from revenue flights booked and flown between January 30 and April 30.

I missed the fine print - good only through end of year. I was hoping it would apply through all of next year. Even if the 3RTs required BS fare I would have done that.

On the other hand, one $730 RT BS fare is all you need. Not too bad.

Damn, would have been nice to get this last week, I would have made that happen for a personal trip.

I got the non-instant offer. Lost A+ for the first time ever after it was introduced. You would think I'd get the instant...

Dumb question--received & signed up for the April challenge...have a RT booked in a couple of weeks....do I have to re-book to get credit for this?

I got the promotion too. My first A-list ever. I should easily get 3 more RT flights thru april and I hope to get 25 flights this year to have A List next year too.

A-list no challenge

I did not get either a-list challenge and I asked southwest and they said too bad for you. Maybe because I already have theee trips booked. Any suggestions?
