why Southwest won't book beyond 8/5/2016?
I'm struggling to make a reservation on Southwest for this fall. Since Christmastime, I've been trying to get price quotes from Southwest's website. No matter what airport I depart from, I can't select a "departing" date beyond 8/5/2016.
At first I thought: perhaps they don't further than 6 months out. But now we're under 6 months, and it still won't allow any date beyond Aug.5.
What gives?

We are currently accepting air reservations through August 5, 2016. On February 18, 2016 we will open our schedule for sale through November 4, 2016. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently.
