Thankfully the 1750 points (x4) for me did not post yet. Ordered 12/27 to top off for CP as I needed 6000. Turns out that the better move was to call Chase and have them move my closing date on my credit card up to 12/28 (was1/4). That put me over but was holding my breath to see which, if either, technique would work. It is good to know for future that moving the closing date around can be very strategic. Now just need the flowers to post to give me a boost to the 15' CP!

I'm in the exact same situation. I need just under 5k points, and have those stupid orders pending. Annoying because I have a trip in mid-Feb that I'm waiting for CP to book, but the prices keep going up, and availability keeps dropping, and it's making me antsy!
Points have been posting on Tuesdays in the past, so I'm hoping tomorrow is the day..

You should definitely book the flight ASAP. You can always get the points back once you receive the CP.

Orders placed from 1800flowers on 12/31/13 will very likely be backdated for CPQP for 2013. This is based on similar behavior of it having two separate dates on their point history on southwest. (post date plus original earn date)
