Hello from OKC...... is OKC again just a stop-over-pawn for DAL-to-somewhere service? Will an OKC-DCA flight continue after the Love restrictions end soon? Will SW cancel current OKC-BWI non-stop when OKC-DCA flights begin?
And what catchy name can we put on an OKC-DCA flight? "The Political Pipeline"? ..... "The Red State Express"?...... "The Capitol-to-Capitol Roadblock-to-Gridlock Legislative Route?"

Right, Wright Amendment restrictions will be lifted sometime in early 2014. They can allow to expand more specific new routes. They will allowed to expand more new service to Caribbean, Central or Latin American, too.

Based on the sked from LOneStarMike (above)...... it's wonderful for me in OKC going to DC for the usual evening or dinner confabs..... then have time the next morning for a few museums before a non-stop flight home!
Comparing with an AA non-stop DFW-DCA at 2hrs45min......how much lower cost or less hassle does a 4hour DAL-OKC-DCA option on SW have to be?

Now they're saying AUS-DCA, with SAN-AUS-DCA being the one stop route cross country.

This doesn't impact the OKC application. They are indeed asking for the AIR21 slot pair to operate OKC-DCA and also asking for a beyond perimeter pair to operate AUS-DCA.

More accurately...they are trying to get the AIR21 slots DL surrendered and the DOT awarded temporarily to US. DL did not give the slots directly to US. The DOT did award them (on a temp basis) to US to maintain the existing service to JAN.
