New Orleans Super Bowl 2013

I need some NO Super Bowl advice from the NOLA experts.

I was able to secure the NO Inercontinental for Super Bowl week on points. I have until Oct to cancel it without penalty. Obviously, I will not know if my team will be in it but I am hedging my bet right now. Actually, it probably does not matter who plays.

Background: I have been to several SBs in the past (IND, JAX, and Houston), but never stayed in walking distance. That is a major benefit. Forget driving, forget buses and cabs, just enjoy the festivities and walk back to the hotel - and on points in NOLA, it appears to be a dream come true.

So how is NO during a crazy busy time? Also, if my team is not in it, are there good sports bars to watch the game on TV?

Any other NO SB or crowded time advice would be appreciated...even 10 months in advance.

In the first 4 months of 2012, New Orleans has or, will have, hosted the following:
Sugar Bowl
BCS Championship
Mardi Gras
NCAA Final Four
French Quarter Fest
Jazz Fest

If there is one city that knows how to handle "a crazy busy time" and, have fun while doing it, it's New Orleans. There are plenty of sports bars downtown for you to enjoy watching the game.

Thank you for coming to our city. Come on down and have a good time.
