Favourite hotel downtown Louisville?

Hi there,

Going down to the US for work for a few months. What's your favourite hotel in Louisville? I'll be staying at West Main St and South 5th Street. The Sheraton seems to be a bit inconvenient, being across the river - I see the Hilton and Marriott nearby. Thoughts?

Cheers

If you are looking for somewhere different with great service consider these.

21C is a very nice hotel in the heart of downtown. Check it out.

There is also the Seelbach http://www.seelbachhilton.com/
and
The Brown http://www.brownhotel.com/
both historic hotels in downtown.

Oh yes, the 21C hotel is wonderfully unique...... but if I was in town for business for more than a few days, I'd try it a few nights before committting to a long stay.....

Maybe take a look at the Galt House because it is directly on the river, if a river view would be nice.....

Around the donwtown convention center are the Hyatt, Marriott and Courtyard..... I usually stay at Hyatt because of larger rooms in this older hotel (vs. Marriott and Courtyard).

Thanks, good to know! I'm a bit of a points-nerd so I'll probably be sticking to the chains mostly. But I do want to check out 21c from the reviews.
It's between the Hyatt and the Marriott - I'll base it on the relative perks

Thanks,

Erin
