Worth going to Angel Falls?

Is it worth going there? I hear that due to its remotness it is an expensive affair. Any ideas how expensive it could be?

I have got a quote for a 3 day 2 night trip at $400 + $200 for CCS to Puerto Ordaz flight. Is this reasonable?

Going there was magnificent. After Iguaçu, Victoria, Niagara and a few others I thought I was jaded. Angel is not spectacular on that sheer mass and horizontal length of Victoria, which I always thought could not be beat. All the others have excellent hotels and good infrastructure.

Angel is soooo long it is simply indescribable and photos don't begin to do it justice. The camps and trip are nothing good and they are barely worth the cheap price posted here (I paid three times that) but you will never regret the trip. There is nothing else remotely like this on earth. Don't think about it, just do it!

Which month did you go? I heard that if one goes in the rainy season, the top of the waterfall maybe in the clouds, if one goes in the dry season, the river may be dry and one would have to fly there rather than go by boat.

I went in June just at the beginning of the rainy season. I would go about that time because the volume is up, not at the highest, and the mists may be lower. I am definitely not an authority, so I suggest seeking better advice on weather than I can give. For certain I was lucky.
