Easter Island Duty Free?

Is there a shop at IPC for those traveling onward to Papeete?

Thank you...

No, unless it's very well hidden. It's quite a pleasant airport though: once airside, you can sit outside and have a final Pisco Sour before boarding. Now I come to think of it , the bar does sell bottles of wine and spirits, but not I think at duty free prices - probably still cheaper than Papeete though.

Helpful to know...thank you very much. Man, I'm really getting scared of those Tahiti prices if an a bottle at the airport bar would be cheaper than buying in Tahiti.

I've been doing some research on this as well and from what I can tell, there isn't one (it's such a small airport to begin with). I'm flying out of IPC in LAN J next week- if I do find a lounge I'll post back about it.

The is a small building airside labelled Sala Vip that appeared to be closed. I didn't ask about access as I was with several non-status friends, but I suspect it's for real VIPs (which of course you may very well be )

Hi,

I did not see one when I was there but after check in I went back outside, watched the incoming flight land and only then went through security ( by which time most pax had already gone through)

Regards

When I was in the airport last week my friend saw the same lounge and it was closed then as well. Unfortunately, we arrived at the airport pretty late and ended up being the last to check in so the lounge may have been opened earlier.

There's no lounge at the IPC airport. It's quite small and there's no need to arrive much (>30 minutes) before your flight.
