Yes but that link is no longer working and the video has been removed from YouTube. By the way, on the February edition of Garuda magazine, Emirsyah Satar did mention that this year is the year when Garuda will become a member of Skyteam. No specific month was mentioned, however.

Not really. All those new entrants were known long ago. The story isn't about the 5 airlines joining SkyTeam this year - that makes up just one paragraph, by way of passing - while the rest of the article is about SkyTeam's attempts at pinning down a partner in Brazil and India.

Onboard my GA flight to SIN last week. Satar mentioned it on the February edition of the monthly in-flight magazine.

Hopefully they're not wasting time trying to integrate with DL IT. DL can't get their IT to integrate with JV partners AF/KL/AZ, so why on earth would they expect it to integrate with GA?

OK. I have to admit. When it comes to IT, Garuda sucks... =_=;

But do you think other applications besides IT for SkyTeam have been completed by Garuda?

What is happening? Why GA won't be entry Skyteam? Is that financial trouble or what?

Where do you get the idea from this could possibly be a financial problem?

lol.
(btw, back to topic)

i'm personally glad that MH didn't end into ST, as they had financial problems that will affected to not just network, but also to their services overall.

i heard many FTers here suggesting that 9W merged with IT. So maybe if combined 9W & IT join into ST, at least ST will cover India network enough.

about GA's IT issues, i don't think they had financial problems.

A merger between 9W and IT? Possible.
The combined entity joining skyteam? Doubtful. IT is obviously oneworld oriented right now, and Jet wants star. Skyteam would have to gun pretty hard to get that combined carrier.
