FCO - KIX or NRT on November, 1 award + 1 paid ticket. Suggestions?
Hello,
From FCO to KIX or NRT, on November. It's a leisure trip.
There're 2 of us, one flying with a Skyteam award and one paying for coach.
Which airline is most suitable other than AZ, even in order to match the Skyteam availability witch the coach fares and such?
In case we must fly on different airlines (because of no award availability vs coach availability or other issues), what is the best coach product for the paying passenger?
Thanks

I don't think you have any other skyteam option than AF/KLM and Aeroflot. Out of them, I would prefer AF for the inflight service and food, but transiting through CDG airport is not very nice.

Aside from Alitalia, and depending on what day you fly, Skyteam members flying to KIX or NRT would be :
Aeroflot (through SVO)
Air France (through CDG)
KLM (through AMS)
Korean Air (through ICN)
I don't know how good the economy product is for each of these, but somehow I feel uneasy about choosing SU to fly, and would also try to avoid both SVO and CDG when connecting to another flight.

Note that the KE flight (FCO-ICN) is only 3x weekly (We, Fr, Su).
You can also mix and match, using AZ/OK/UX to get to a gateway city and then picking up KE from there, adding many more options than just FCO/MXP/AMS/CDG for the European connection point.
