Transferring from KLM to Delta FF
I have platinum for life under the KLM FF program for many years (Platinum since 1992) and have moved to the US a while back where I primarily fly airlines that fit my schedule and routes.
I would like to fly Delta more often and use my Skyteam platinum status for better seats and upgrades and was wondering if anyone had experience with contacting Delta to switch from one airline program to another while retaining the same status. Basically, will Delta accept my KLM FF status and give me the same level I have with KLM.
I will appreciate any input.
Thanks!

Oftentimes, they won't do a status match/challenge from the same alliance... but you may have luck matching to a different airline, outside of SkyTeam, and then to Delta.
There's a status match thread somewhere that talks about it... forget which forum though.

As above you are unlikely to get a status match in same alliance, unless is a large corporate deal
