Thanks for sharing LondonElite.

Okey, will email them to ask how much incidentals they will be blocking on my card.

I ask because I use my corporate card for car rentals/hotels and they are really really fussy about what we use it for and allocate a minimum amount for travels only so worried it may not be enough if the incidentals are like 500 euro or something big like that for a 1 or 2 day use.

Any thoughts on Sixt Plat vs Hertiz Presidents in Europe as well at the same price?

Thank You!
yes, generally they do for a year... at least as much as they do (not) with the non-matched platinum.

Hi All,

I have the diamond status (I got it several years ago as top tiers fréquent flyer) and I have not rented through Sixt for a while ( I used to rent a lot with them in the past). I need to rent through them in August so I was basically wondering if I Could still enjoy the perks (especially the upgrades one ).

Thanks for your answers.

I really have no idea what to do. I can't get a discounted rate and wonder if it is safe to just fly into Stuttgart airport and to go to the Sixth desk to rent a ford focus or something reasonably priced. Or is that not a good idea as they could be sold out of cars?

Any advice?

They'll always have a car. Just don't expect it to be cheap!

Hi,

I booked through Expedia for a car in Valencia.

I selected an automatic car, but Expedia does not give me the car category (the four letters everyone mentions).
Do you know if there is a way to get it? (I am not able to see my booking on Sixt website, I do only have expedia booking confirmation page)

I suspect the code is CDAR (~Citroën C4 Cactus automatic).
Do you now what are the usual cars you can get with this category at Valencia?

Thanks
Regards

Sixth appeared to have a whole variety of Mercedes sports cars available which was fantastic but I ended up going with Hertz for airline mileage though it was at the end of a 1 day rental very espensive for a small car.

Will try Sixth in the future and drop Hertz.

Sixt (no 'h') is usually the best choice in Germany for car quality.
