Sixt - Atlanta Hartsfield Airport

Hello,

I am looking for some recent reviews for this location. I did a search and most info is old. I usually use National but wanted to spread my rentals around and see if better deals could be had elsewhere. I am a platinum Sixt card holder so i'm hoping to get nice upgrades. Just wanted some feedback about this location.

Thanks
Mike

I'm renting there in a month, so I'm also interested to hear some more. I'm not sure what to expect as diamond, but hoping for something pretty good.

How do you get diamond status with Sixt?

Just be aware that the minimum deposit any Sixt location in Georgia will hold is $250 regardless of rental rate, and also that for Premium Cars and higher, the minimum hold amount is $500 (seems to be $800 minimum for Luxury) regardless of rental rate.

Please elaborate.

I'm EBD and I thought it only matched to Sixt Platinum.

What did you do to get Sixt Diamond ?

Thanks OliT

I also read it was by invitation. Invitation from Sixt or another Diamond member? This status is like a mystery.

Ive rented from this location twice before. First time was my first time ever renting from Sixt after being matched to Platinum, was upgraded to a BMW X5. Second time i was down for a friends wedding and was told to pick whatever i wanted, took a Benz ML. Great staff both times, wonderfully helpful and polite.

Thank you exactly the kind of reply I needed. What level vehicle did you have to reserve in order to get the X5? I am platinum as well. I am used to renting from National where I have a pick of the lot. Do you by pass the counter and inform the people on the lot you are platinum to insure your upgrade?

Just made my first reservation - ATL Airport

Hello,

I just made my first reservation with Sixt.

Status - Platinum

Rental Period - pickup 3/6/2015 - Return 3/9/2015

Rental class reserved - LCAR

With my status, how can I make sure to get my double upgrade? What vehicles might I get ( X5, 5 series or does this cross over into SUV status as well)?

Thanks,
Mike

I decided to make a second reservation. This one is for this coming weekend. I made a reservation for a PCAR. I want to get a feel for the Sixt as a company, check-out process and car selection.

I'll update this post with what I received and how everything went.

I am looking to do a one-way rental from ATL to TYS. Using Expedia, Sixt showed up about a $100 cheaper. Seems like they have no drop fee. Using the Sixt website, I can rent an Audi A3 for about $5 more per day than a Toyota Camry.

The rental is not until late March. Hopefully it's a good experience.

I PMed their rep on here and asked they note my rental with my requested upgrade. To be honest i cant remember what i booked Both times however i went to the counter in the terminal first and was then escorted out to the lot where my car was waiting.

I picked up a 328i xdrive with about 1678 miles for my rental. No nav or XM, im guessing this is standard for this class of bmw?

First impressions

Details

Sixt is located on the 2nd floor. The car lot is on the 1st floor.

The staff is extremely helpful and nice. Be prepared to spend counter time. I am used to National. By that I mean I am used to walking straight to the lot and picking something and driving off. My rental class was PCAR. They do not use this terminology at the desks. Classes are luxury and extraordinary.

The lot is TINY. It is like 30 car spaces give or take. Vehicles available - Chrysler 300, Corvettes, Camry, suburban, A4, Camaro Convertible, BMW 2 Series, Coopers or Fiat's, ML series Mercedes-Benz and a X5. That was basically it. NOTE - a VP of Sixt was coming to get a car this night. They were wiping down a brand new Audi A8 with no tags at the time. Absolutely beautiful car.

My next Sixt car rental is the LCAR. I will need a bigger vehicle for sure.

Special thanks to Ruth at Sixt. She noted my account for an upgrade.

Just made my first reservation - ATL Airport

So, far the only issue is that neither the front or rear charger works. Trying to charge your phone from the usb port is practically useless.
