JFK to SIN -- Airline?

I'm planning to fly to Singapore from JFK around the 15th of December and return around the 2nd of January. So far, all the airline tickets have been around $1500~. Any suggestions regarding cheaper airfare? The $1500 is slightly over my budget of $1300.

Singapore airlines was running specials but not sure that late in the year? At christmas time, $1500 is pretty close to standard rate. And SQ is non-stop.

i wish that sq was doing non-stop in economy....ewr-sin is a all Business class flight and SQ26 jfk-fra-sin has a one hour stop in fra...

Sorry, you're right. Forgot SQ reconfigured their non-stop flight.
OP might want to check CX, their internet rates are pretty good these days, I just got business class to Bkk via HK on the JFK non-stop for just over $5K. Last fall same ticket cost me $9K (via travel agent!).

Thanks for the information. I'll check CX. I think they were the ones offering the ticket for $1.5K. I'm not concerned about a direct flight at this point. I'll keep you posted.
