Singapore Botanical Gardens, now a UNESCO Heritage site. Only the third Gardens in the world to be accorded this status.

. Compare this with the deadlock system of the largest "democracy" in the world, that has it's President and it's two-chamber parliament system often basically blocking any progress, it's ageing infrastructure and inability to solve such trivial matters.

Why do you bring India in to this discussion ?

What about a nice canopy walk above the lush greenery? This video from the canopy walk at Kent Ridge Park.

For a more adventurous walk, try the treetop walk at MacRitchie Reservoir.

We are probably the only SE Asian country that can pull off feats like these.

Two videos showing 20 F-16s flying in formation, showing the number 50, to celebrate SG50.

Mobile column forming up, showing off our military might.

Our national carrier, Singapore Airlines A380, painted in SG50 livery, performing a fly-by over Singapore.

Here is the SG 50 plane. Go Singapore!

Singapore - whats not to love.

From the efficient airport to the great taxis, clean, aircon, metered, English speaking drivers, to the cleanliness of the streets.

Great public transport
Great hawker stalls for cheap but awesome food
Expensive high end shopping
Lots to do
Great hotels

but for me its a stopover type of place rather than a holiday destination.

Great for a few days, enjoy exlore, shop then head off somewhere more chilled to relax

What about a life-sized X-Wing at Changi Terminal 3? Only for a season.

To take a photo of that without someone in front of you you need to go there at 4AM...

We love the original Raffles Hotel, the Singapore Sling, Orchard Road, the Merlion statue and the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore, the flagship of the group and the list could go on.

Singapore remains unique. Cheers! ^

Enjoy! Orchard Road is really done up for the holidays. Christmas is the only holiday that EVERYONE in Singapore celebrates, primarily as a gift-giving event, but everyone gets into the mix.

Lots of good things in the Lion City, and your time span there is just about right. Plenty of time to see things at a reasonable pace, yet not "too much" time.

Surely the Haw Par villa, with its extensive grounds filled with marvellous sculpted scenes (including vivid exemplars of Hell that would have Dante applauding). Oh, and the car with its bonnet shaped like a tiger's head. All from the founders of Tiger Balm.
