I have a one-night layover in SIN coming up and am thinking of staying at MBS -- fully understand all of the downsides posted in this thread but really do want to experience the pool, so as others have said it will be a one-night stay to have been there, done that, and then on with life.
But, departing flight the second day leaves late in the day, so would ideally like to have access to the hotel facilities for as much time as possible. Also considering a club room as the prices are fairly competitive for the dates I'm looking at, so if something like SGD189 gets room, pool, and club access all extended to 6pm, it may be worthwhile.

Sure, you can pay (SGD 189 quoted above for 6pm checkout, my experience is that amount is typical but varies with demand), or you can get your casino host to extend you for free (if you have lost enough at the casino). Late checkout covers use of the room, pool, club (if you have access in your room rate) and other hotel facilities.

Any advice on using promos/coupons for the Marina Bay Sands? I know most sites don't have it or the codes don't apply to it.
So far booking direct seems to be the best option. I've signed up for their email list and got the S40 off deal but I was wondering if there's anything better.
Also do the prices fluctuate a lot at this property? Prices seem about $20 more than what I was seeing a week ago.
Thanks!

I would also be inclined to stay at MBS for one night just to experience the pool and basically check it off my bucket list. I'm planning ahead and was just looking at the booking options and prices, I was only able to put 2 adults and 2 kids...however we're a family of 5. I looked at the deluxe room (the cheapest available). Is it possible to get a rollerbed (if so, anyone know how much?)
Also, is the room key enough to get to the pool area or do you get some sort of voucher/wristband type of thing per person to enter the pool
thanks!
edit: also looked at the family room booking and that too only has the option for 2 adults and 2 kids...although in the picture it seems like a decent size room and i'm quite certain all 3 of mine can easily sleep in the existing bedding and no rollerbed would be necessary

When I stayed there a couple of years ago you needed 1 room key per person to enter the pool area. There was an attendant at the gate that would put your key in a slot and open the gate for you.
From what I saw the advanced booking rates were pretty consistent and I could not find cheaper than booking direct.
Given the price of alcohol in Singapore we found the club room good value for 2 nights, though I wouldn't do much more.
We are staying at the Conrad on our next trip as MBS is definitely on of those done it once, no need to do it again types of places.

Once you've stayed at this hotel once (so you can place a little "tick" on the list of places to see and things to do in Singapore) there really isn't much reason to stay there again.
The pool is nice, the rooms are spacious, but the location isn't as good as some of the other hotels, and the casino is dull and uneventful.

Still each need a room key. On check in we were told about the pool area needing only 1 room key for the both of us. Upon arriving at the pool area one of us was not let in and had to go back to our room and get the second room key.
Even if MBS was half price, I wouldn't go back there. Someone else said they found it boring. So did I.

Looking to take everyone's advice and just book 1 night to check it off the bucket list for birthday trip to Singapore. Prices are pretty high ($450 USD a night) for a sunday to Monday booking. Thinking about doing this the first night instead of the last but want to just enjoy the pool.
I assume no one has a promo or better way to get a cheaper price? I signed up for their offers but haven't received any yet.
