Is Jetquay service worth it?

I'm arriving in Singapore on SQ 25 (from Frankfurt) at 7AM on a Tuesday and would like to know if the Jetquay service is worth it. I'm thinking about taking the limousine transfer through the hotel which includes Jetquay service (Quayside) and a Mercedes S-Class transfer to the hotel (Bentley unavailable ). The cost is SGD 245. Also, I'm flying F, but I guess F service ends the moment you exit the plane. Any experiences, opinions, recommendations?
Thanks.

I've never used it, but did read this report with interest:

Yep, I've read that report before. However, the author of that report used the more expensive Jetside service (which I don't think is worth it).
Additionally, the hotel's Bentleys are unavailable, only an S-Class transfer is available (which is still a very nice car BTW).

What I'm interested to know is how immigration is at 7AM. Are there long lines? Do you have to walk long distances? Do you wait a while for your baggage? Are taxi lines long? Hopefully someone can answer my additional questions.
Thanks.

Hi Big Mac, like all transfers, they are worth it, if you can afford it and you want it.
If you are travelling F to Singapore, there is a Raffles Hotel promo with limo transfers readily available, just tag it onto your airfare. I orgasnised it for my friend last month as a surprise and it was "fabulous". Also there for the asking is SQ will meet you at the cabin door and escort you through to luggage collection and you are no doubt aware of the numerous cars @ SIN. The last time I hired a S Benz it cost $175 for the trip to Sentosa. Do I think it's worth it, NO, but then, if I am travelling F, I get the airline to fast track me and it's easy enough to organise a car, your call, butenjoy it, regards bkkrop

Hi Big Mac, Singapore immigration is NEVER slow, and things should be reasonably awake at 7AM. I would fully expect that you would be able to buy a bottle of something at duty free, clear passport control, grab your luggage, get through customs and be on a taxi all within 20 minutes of stepping off the plane and onto the jetway. As you are coming in on SQ 25 it's hard to say how long the walk may or may not be - the terminal building and gate would only be decided some time while you are enroute, and some of the distances from gate to passport control can be quite long. After customs, the taxi line won't be 'long' although there could be a lot of people waiting, but even then will move reasonably rapidly. Not to insult but if you need help with walking, wheelchair or golf cart like service can be arranged. But let me assure you that the lines you will face when you return to the US are much, much longer.

Unfortunately, the only thing SQ (yes in F as well) will do is wave you goodbye at the door when deplaning. What a bummer... I guess, why only fly in style when you can travel in style all the way to the hotel, haha... Jetquay all the way... haha...

Thanks for the tips. Indeed, I'm coming off SQ 25. I'm not familiar with SIN and thought it would indeed be like immigration into the US, which can take an eternity.
Haha, I'm not that old (actually not old at all)...

Singapore Changi is a class of its own & if you don't feel comfortable negotiating it, you'll never feel comfortable anywhere (size of the airport taken into account).

Sure, with you being American, what else could you think?
However, if I were, say, Zambian, I wouldn't necessarily think immigration in Singapore is anything similar to imigration to Zambia :-)

FWIW Singapore Immigration is not at all like US Immigration, it's a lot faster yet every bit as thorough. If they're happy with you (and why wouldn't they be) you're going to come out of the experience all smiles, you'll be telling your neighbors about this when you get home. And Changi Airport is like fantasyland (just wait til you get here, you'll see)! BTW I happen to be American and I have to say that smooth immigration processing both entering and leaving the country (in fact generally fast and responsive government services) is one of the things I like about this place. But remember that niceness doesn't make them marshmallows either.

I've been through Changi a couple of times in the past week or so and the lines were never more than 10 minutes at Immigration (by which time my bags were already going around the reclaim belt).

Tried JetQuay on my final leg and didn't find the ~S$250 worthwhile for their Quayside Transit service (Quayside Arrivals alone was ~S$110).

The buffet offering was essentially limited to instant noodles so next time I will just book a room at the Transit Hotel and swing by the KrisFlyer Gold lounge for food.
