Now, are there any printed rules anywhere? Their site says to call. Do I have to spend a certain amount of time in each stop? Or can they be connections ie. [JFK FRA SIN] - break - [SIN - ICN - SFO]?

Would JFK-FRA-SIN-SYD-SIN-HKG-SFO work? Or how could I craft an itinerary from NYC that would include SYD?

I figure I could do an SQ RTW in F which is a touch less cash.

Something like:

LAX-TPE-SIN-MOS-HOU

or

LAX-TPE-SIN-JFK

I couldn't find a max mileage rule for the SQ RTW.

Maybe throw SIN-SYD in the middle of the above?

Dorian
The above itineraries should be OK. Remember that the fare rule stipulates a minimum of 3 stopovers of at least 24 hours each, and the USA is counted a one stopover only. For 1st class, the booking is via "A" availability. Certainly SQ RTW's purchased in Australia for MEL or SYD departures allow transiting SIN more than once with a backtrack to Australia (to allow pax to return to point of origin). Not sure if you can include SIN-SYD return if originating your journey outside Australia. There is no max mileage as far as I am aware.

Was was figuring if I did:

LAX-TPE (stop)- SIN (stop) - SYD (stop) - SIN - JFK (or HOU)

That might do it...as I'm not stopping in SIN the 2nd time, just connecting. How else could one do Australia otherwise (without being ex there)?

I don't think you can include Australia if you are ex-North America. The adding of the Houston-Moscow service seems to allow for more stops than in the past. It looks like you could do something like:

LAX - TPE - SIN - DXB - DME - IAH

You can't.

Australia is only included if you originated from there.

Is any information about RTW from Australia available from the SQ Australia website? I found the USA RTW fares from the SQ USA local promotions tab, but cannot see Australis RTW details/prices anywhere. Thanks

RTW ex. Paris

I called the Paris office and they quote the following prices, believe it or not...

F from €6498 to €13629
C from €4240 to €7995

I will say I have never had a more difficult agent from Singapore Airline than when asking about this, and that's saying something...

I could not find any rules on their sites either. I saw in one of the posts that the duration of the journey is limited to three months unlike other RTWs which allow you up to 12 months. Can any one confirm this or provide a link to the rules!!
Also, I live in Canada but can the journey be started in Bkk or SIN??

No SQ flight but AC does fly JFK-YVR direct. So it is a doable RTW in F/J as long as you are willing to "cheap out" on the last stint.

Yes, it's only valid for 3 months.

BKK has no fare for this.

Yes, you may start from SIN. (But still no OZ sidetrip)

Yes, it's only valid for 3 months.

Then I guess this would not work for me. We do an RTW in C starting and finsihing in Thailand (we live in Canada) so would normally start the RTW in Jan/Feb of each year and then go back to Thailand the following Jan/Feb to get away from Canadian winters and then restart another RTW. When I saw the attractive SQ only prices in FIRST, thought this might be a better option but the 3 month limit would not allow us to do this. Thanks for the quick response.
