Bitterroot, May I know where on SQ' s web did you find this info please? I'm trying to plan a RTW trip for my father ex Singapore but have no luck with the web, called the SQ office in Singapore but the ticketing agent has no idea what I was talking about.Thanks.
The fares I cited -- as I think you realized -- were *A fares, because that's what General_Flyer asked for.
Now, your question is more interesting, because for some reason SQ doesn't post the SQ-only RTW fares ex-SIN on the website (normally, you'd find them under "Promotions", then the sub-menu tiltled "Local Promotions". That's where they show up on the North American websites, for example).
But here they are, ex-SIN, in Singapore dollars this time:
Economy (SSQEZ) -- S$4,000.00
Business (DEZSQ) -- S$8,500.00
First (AEZSQ) -- S$11,500.00
Bitterroot, Thanks so much; I just got off the phone with both the ticketing in Singapore and Taipei and yes, the price ex Singaopre is as you mentioned, but strangely, the price ex Taipei is sooo much cheaper:
C 132930 NTD (=5850 SGD)
F 185110 NTD (= 8146 SGD)
The F ex TPE is even cheaper than C ex Sg!
Now I'm thinking of doing TPE--SG--FRA--JFK; LA--HKG, while buying seperate RT tix for SG-TPE and a one way for JFK-LA and HKG-TPE.Do you think it is feasible that way?

F RTW with SQ now mostly C?
As SQ phases in the 380 and phases out the 744, that presumably means that there will be no SQ F access on a *A RTW ticket?
I'm sure its been covered somewhere else already but could someone kindly clarify if 77W F is available on a RTW F ticket?
I know RTW lowlifes are not a priority for SQ but another instance of how their fares have become hopelessly uncompetitive?

I suspect there will be a problem now booking ex-TPE since there are no flights from LAX to TPE any more. In your proposed itinerary, you would be flying more than around-the-world and would have to back-track from HKG to TPE (even though on your own dime). I don't recall that being an exception listed in the rules.
I looked, but I do not find an SQ-only RTW from ICN.
Asianmom is correct, though, about TPE. And so is the comment about no backtracking. So, I'm not quite sure how you'd do it, except to do what asianmom suggests and we do in the US: buy separate tickets to close the gap(s). For example, SQ TPE-SIN-FRA-JFK, gap to LAX or SFO, then SQ LAX-NRT or SQ SFO-HKG, and another gap ticket back to TPE.
You could not originate in TPE and transit SIN twice.
Gee, never realised HKG--TPE would be considered back tracking, but i supposed it could be, would have to fly to NRT instead should that be the case, which is not good for the wallet, as airport tax there is quite a bit higher.
Does anyone have experience with this routing to tell me if it will work on the RTW fare,,,,LAX\NRT\BKK\SIN\IST\ON MY OWN\FRA\JFK,,,THE 800 NUMBER IS TRYING TO TELL ME THAT THE NRT TO BKK THEN TO SIN IS A BACK TRACK..any help would be appreciated.

NRT-BKK-SIN would indeed be a back track. If you did LAX-NRT-SIN and then did SIN-BKK-SIN on your own, the rest should work.
