Nope. You can only stop or transit in SIN once.

I believe you could do IAH-DME-SIN-MNL(open-jaw)HKG-LAX.

SQ only RTW must be ex-NA?

Does anyone know the answer to this? I assume the fare isn't available ex-SIN?

Well, HKG-SFO, since SQ doesn't fly HKG-LAX.

I'm planning to do a RTW trip and reserved a pricing for SEA-FRA-DME-SIN-LAX-SEA, the given carrier to calculate the fare is LH, but most of my flights will be in SQ. My question is, how would this pricing be affected by most of my flight being in SQ instead of LH, but my bookings are made with them (LH)?

Second, although this might not fit into the topic, the 'Plan B' for this RTW trip is SIN-DME-FRA-SEA-LAX-SIN.. I was wondering which plan would fit well since I'm taking my mother on the trip.. The thing is, she's flying with the following route: SUB-SIN-FRA-DME-SIN-SUB (Plan A), or SUB-SIN-DME-FRA-SIN-SUB (Plan B) so I'm still thinking of which route would give me the best advantage since me and my mom will need to take the same flight and need to arrive around +-2/3 hours of each other..

I also need to take a SIN-SUB-SIN route..

Any help is appreciated in sorting out this problem..

Thanks in advance..

In order to really help you, we need more info...

What cabin class did you reserve and what is the fare quote from LH?
What cities do you really want to visit? And do you care about going to FRA?

Since you would be on mostly SQ metal, the SQ RTW will be a lot cheaper than the *A RTW. http://www.singaporeair.com/saa/en_U...otions/rtw.jsp

If you're flying F, the difference is almost $5,000 ($2,600 in C, $1,800 in Y). If you don't care about FRA but really need to go to DME, you're better off booking an all SQ RTW IAH-DME-SIN-LAX/SFO at $6700F/$5300+C/$2300Y, and then buying a cheap SEA-IAH and LAX/SFO-SEA to complete the trip. Note: On that routing, if you're thinking C, I would go for F since the 77W C surcharges will bump the total cost very close to the F fare anyway.

I'm looking at C at this time with the fare estimations of around 7,900..

This is a holiday trip that I'm planning with my mom, I don't really need DME, since I want to go on a holiday in western and central europe. But if F is really not that pricey, I'd really like to go in F.

My choice to go to FRA is that so I can get around in a euro-rail system to cities such as Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Rome, etc.

And the other thing is, I need to also pay for my mom.. Her costs might be a lot more expensive than mine if what you're saying is true..

So I'm kind of in between C or F right now..

If you're mom is up to some extra SQ pampering, you might want to consider two SQ First Class RTWs.

Mom could fly:
SUB-SIN (GA/MI/VF)
SIN-SFO... SQ Leg 1
SFO-JFK (separate ticket) or SFO-SEA-JFK with you
JFK-FRA... SQ Leg 2
FRA/CDG/ZRH/BCN/MXP/FCO/LHR-SIN... SQ Leg 3
SIN-SUB (GA/MI/VF)

You could fly:
SEA-JFK (separate ticket) or SFO-SEA-JFK with mom
JFK-FRA... SQ Leg 1
FRA/CDG/ZRH/BCN/MXP/FCO/LHR-SIN... SQ Leg 2

SIN-SUB-SIN (GA/MI/VF)
SIN-SFO... SQ Leg 3
SFO-SEA (separate ticket)

It would cost $6700 (plus nominal fuel surcharge, maybe $100) for you and SGD 11500 (~$7500) for mom plus the separate connector flights (for as little as $500 each total).

I took my dad on a RTW earlier this year and it was one of the best things I could have done. If you're interested, the link to my trip report is below.

Contacted SQ earlier asking about their RTW trip, LAX-SIN-FRA-JFK.. The cost for F is still US$ 11,500, C is around US$ 6,700-7,000 these are just the base fares..

Thanks for all the help, SFO777, probably I'm using Euro-rail for the trip for intra-european trip, so no need to fly..

I'm still wondering about the price you said earlier though, I asked whether the F fare is still around US$ 6,700+, but the CS said it's around US$ 11,500 all segments are using SQ metal..

If you called the 800# you spoke with the ICC, who are clueless about many things but especially the RTW fares. Those numbers the ICC CSR quoted appear to be the SGD (not USD) fare x-SIN. The fare code x-US is FEZSQ and the F fare is indeed still $6700.

For RTW fares, I would recommend calling one of the local US SQ offices directly. http://www.singaporeair.com/saa/en_U...fo/contact.jsp

The SFO sales office is great...415-781-7304. That's the general number and you may get VM, but they will call back promptly. If you want to PM me, I can give you the name and direct phone number to my sales rep.

Thanks, I'll call them the first thing monday morning.. Yes it's ICC, not very helpful, I've just realized that they were probably just looking at published fare rates instead of asking their RTW officers..

This is still a plan, and are subject to events coming in and out over the next year.. I would PM you asking about the sales rep when everything is settled and the plan is a go..

Thanks again for all the help SFO777!

As I metioned in an earlier post, I purchased 2 SQ only F RTW tix from call centre, despite trying all the NA numbers.
Total was $7300 US per, and exchange rate in Sept. was .95 so I only paid a bit more in Can $$$.

LAX-NRT-SIN-DXB-DME-IAH - should be good!

Second what SFO777 is saying: the ICC always quotes the *A price, which is US$11,440 in F. They'll even insist that's the only RTW fare in which SQ participates, unless you specifically force them to look up FEZSQ (or CEZSQ, etc.).

Like SFO777, I just deal with the San Francisco sales office.
My next FEZSQ comes to $7143.20 all in (including taxes and surcharges).
