Thanks for that update - $477 is good to know for the taxes on that ticket...

Do you know what classes your Y ticket booked in? I would like to look for availabilty to ensure that it's there before even considering the option!

Thanks again!

You may want to call SQ res, but I think it is "M" class.

So to confirm, the LA number actually means you call someone in LA who might know what's going on? Awesome!

What origination did you check? It is still available ex-SFO and ex-LHR, and maybe others.

Gefsmith is from Brisbane.

I am hoping he just checked it ex-OZ. Yes, the SQ RTW was no longer available ex-OZ and ex-NZ since beginning of this year.

I still need to book another SQ RTW for later on next year. I'm hoping they wont' cancel this fare!!!

My mistake. It is still available ex-USA, but not ex-OZ.

That's right. It is in the *A RTW fare rules. Your choices are to fly business, to take a non-A380 flight, or to use a different fare/product.

One way around that restriction would appear to be to book a flight that is expected to convert but has not yet converted to a 380. If you are planning a trip starting early next year or later, book SQ1 (SFO-HKG-SIN) or SQ2 (SIN-HKG-SFO). Based on related postings in this forum, it would appear that F (or A) bookings made prior to announced switch to the 380 are being honored.
