Keep in mind that there is no F on A380, only R class. The fare will be higher.

Does anyone know if the A380 might be flying other routes besides LHR and SYD in November? I'm thinking about making a trip specifically to Singapore just to fly the A380?

By November 2008? Definitely on the LHR route. Book on SQ317/SQ322.

List of flights updated.

Nevertheless, SQ38/SQ37 will be configured in the New Business Class but the precise introduction date is unclear.
Someone has suggested the last flight for SQ37/8 on Y+ is Aug 30. You can no longer book tickets on Y+ after that date. SQ21/2 earlier at Jun 25

A380 to HKG now?

Any truth to the rumors that the A380 (after the arrival of the second ship) is already flying to, or is about to be put on, one of the SIN-HKG rotations?

confusing

well it is hard to sort this all out....
it looks like SQ's old business class product is a recline seat not a lie flat. Tough to tell which jets have the new biz class seat.

I've never flown SQ but am booking an around the world biz class ticket for late March. Looks like I have the opportunity to fly Hong Kong to Dubai either on SQ or BKK (Thai Airways). And then I will have another opportunity to fly SQ or Lufthansa from Frankfurt to New York. Does anyone know:

- which business class service is on the Hong Kong to Sing and Sing to Dubai legs?
- which business class service is on the Frankfurt to NY leg?

I know I can eventually find these answers via my own research, but maybe someone knows these off the top of their heads.

In return I will post a report on the trip. Right now it looks like
NY - Tokyo on ANA
Tokyo - HK on ANA
HK to Dubai on either BKK or SQ
Dubai to Frankfurt on Lufthansa
Franfurt to NY on SQ or Lufthansa
(unfortunately no direct Dubai to the US on a Star carrier.

Thanks!
Mark

G,day to all. Fantastic info by all. New to forum. Travelling sin to athens in july 08. Will these aircraft still be the 777-200ER. Think the flight is sq348. Also would it be better coming back to sin from rome?,are these flights, less full, than the athens flights in september. Any where i can view pics of Bulkhead seats, as i will be travelling with a 12 month old.
Once again thanks for the info and sorry for all the questions.
Singapore is agreat way to fly, even though my last flight was in 1998.

Business Class inflight service does not vary on any segment.

Business Class seats can vary.

HKGSIN: You can expect an Ultimo seat, a SpaceBed (SQ001 only) or a New Business Class Seat (SQ861 only).
SINDXB: You can expect an Ultimo seat or a New Business Class Seat (SQ062 only).
FRAJFK: You can expect a SpaceBed.

Hope this helps.

SQ348 and SQ365 will still be operated by the B777-200ER.

You can view pictures of the interior (though none seem to show the bulkhead) here:

Quite easy.

A380 & 77W have the latest seat. Lie flat, short pitch but feet go into a whole in the seat in front. Very, very wide seat.

744 & 772ER have spacebed. Lie flat on a slight angle, but still very comfortable.

772 & 773 have regional seat. Not lie flat.

HKG-SIN has a mixture of all aircraft types. Need to check the specific flights that suit your timing (and availability).

SIN-DXB is regional seat.

FRA-JFK is 744.

And there are also no subclasses for the suites unlike P & A for F. So there is only one type of suite fare per route (R).

Yup. For example you can have 3 different J & F products on this route depending on which flight you take.

So what is SQ doing now with the second A380 that arrived earlier this month? Is it being used as a spare only, or has it been deployed on a regular route?
