BTC - How far in advance
Hi all,
I'm flying JFK-SIN-SYD in Suites leaving Jan. 8. Obviously it's a while out, but my understanding was that you could select meals at 6 months out. Am I mistaken? Will the selection option "trigger" at some later point? Or is the fact that it's not working now suggest it won't work later on, either? Thanks!

Anyone have experience booking BTC if the SQ sector is a codeshare?
Uunable to see onboard menu for my flight, evening using SQ locator. Tel agent indicated while BTC is available on my flight (ex SIN), it may not be available to those with codeshare tx.
With reference to last post, the breakfast menu listed -- is it the onboard or BTC menu?

Wow this thread continues to deliver - really helpful except for the mixed reviews of the lobster. I guess I can try it on my short flight ex-SIN and change my selection for my return flight if it proves mediocre.
Agree 100%. Personally I thought the duck on the in-flight menu looked more appetizing but it's all personal preference. I do try to avoid sauces and spicy food, another minus with the lineup below.
Last flew this route (via HKG) in 2015 and it was the same uninspired choices. Hard to believe SQ can't find a decent chef in SF - maybe they don't pay enough. At least get us some sea bass and filet mignon instead of fried fish and strip steak.
Thanks for the great photos - definitely better than 1000 words (or even the preceding comments LOL).
That Sea Bass really looks great, but the other photos are also helpful as I try to avoid things that are lathered in sauces, which upset my stomach.
I don't know about F lounge but the regular lounge was mostly breakfast during the a.m. though they had a few dim sum type items. That being said, it is the only lounge where I find it necessary to drink champagne (which I normally avoid) because the quality is just too high to pass
Thanks to all who have posted. Helped me with my ex SIN leg. Gonna see what this lobster thermidor at 38k feet fuss is about.
However, flying J SFO-SIN in a couple months and options ex SFO (understandably) seem less common in this thread.
Dinner...
-braised guinea fowl
-jumbo shrimps
-strip steak and roasted potatoes
-crab cake and potato wedges
-braised beef rib
-steamed fish roll with ham
-chicken rice
-pan fried halibut
-stir fried mussels
Leaning toward shrimps, steak, crab cake, or halibut. But frankly, nothing really popping out at me. Anything stand out to you guys either negative or positive? Might just go with onboard menu.
Refreshment...no options

I'm flying SYD-SIN-NRT in F in a couple months. Seems like the Indian lamb shank curry ex-SYD and the curry patta lobster ex-SIN both have good reviews. Anyone want to talk me out of those?
