VS/SQ RTW question:
Under the rules for the SQ/VS round the world,
"Travel must be in a continuous global direction either East or Westbound. (no backtracking)."
Would this routing be valid:
LAX-NRT-SIN-JNB-LHR-LAX?
Or is SIN-JNB-LHR considered not a continuous global direction?

I have been informed that this fare allows SFO-HKG-SYD, even though SYD is east of HKG.

If you did have any backtracking issues on one of these tickets then it may be worth considering SQ/NZ/VS Escapade RTW which does allow backtracking.

Can someone let me know where to find out on-line about such VS/SQ or VS/NZ/SQ RTW fares ? I do not think the SQ on-line booking system lets you book or look up such a routing fare.

On www.singaporeair.com select "promotions" (near top right), then country "UK & Ireland".
On the left hand side underneath heading local links is "round the world". Select this and it brings up the info.
Not bookable on line but you can see fares etc.

With The Great Escapade fare on VS/SQ/NZ your routing LAX-NRT-SIN-JNB-LHR-LAX is quite simple and perfectly valid. So long as it includes only one transpacific and one transatlantic sector you can go in any direction and it doesn't have to be in a continuous direction. AFAIK that's the only VS and SQ RTW product currently on offer.

I've got a few more questions regarding a RTW trip with VS/SQ/NZ.
The routing:
VS: LHR-NRT
SQ: NRT-BKK-(SIN)-SYD
NZ: SYD-(AKL)-NAN-RAR-PPT-LAX
overland LAX-JFK
SQ: JFK-FRA
overland FRA-LHR
I'd like to credit all the miles to BMI DC. BMI states that on VS, several economy booking classes (V, N, X) do not earn miles on specific routes such as LHR-NRT
1) in which booking classes is the escapade booked on VS/SQ/NZ in economy?
2) can the last leg be "overland" FRA-LHR?

2) There is nothing I can see in the rules that forbids that.
