When I clicked on the fare conditions, it showed I fare which is the usual Savers bucket for Business Class. SQ322 has always been a tough one to get. Perhaps a non-PPS has already snapped up the inventory, while they reserve the rest exclusively for PPS. That's why it's not available for non-PPS? I'm not sure. I'll scout around for a few more examples when I have time

I was watching LAX-SIN in late April 2018 for a honeymoon. As I feared, the change reduced availability. 2 saver first seats were available on most days on SQ7 (specifically looking at 23 April or 24 April for now). Now can't find any days with 2 saver first (but most days have 1 saver F available still) . Perhaps somebody with PPS could confirm that this is because they're holding back availability for PPS use only.

Thanks

Same result for TPPS. Anyway, they are quite specific that priority is only for Business Saver. Looks like availability for First remained the same

Thank you both! Either availability just happened to change by chance, or I screwed up my prior searches and was actually looking at 1 seat not 2-both equally likely

With the new qualification criteria from 1 June 2018 for Solitaire, does it mean PPS value earned from 1 June 2017 (i.e. 12 months before) will count towards the new qualification criteria? I am under the impression that is the case based on the SQ website saying "For Solitaire PPS Club members who attain Solitaire status on/after 1 June 2018" but I am wondering if anyone has info that confirms it?

I am midway through my membership year. On 1 June and subsequently I have received emails for rewards earned for the year to date. Thus the counter did not start on 1 June but at the start of the current membership year for each person.

Edited to add - it is possible that PPS Solitaire qualification works differently to the extra rewards for earning beyond the qualification requirement, but to me that would be strange.

Your qualification year doesn't change. Since SQ goes by a rolling 12 month period, your qualification year follows the time you first became a regular PPS member. So actually this is the worst for those who have a year ending 31 May, and the best for those who have a year ending 30 June. For the latter, they can already start to accrue $50k and come June 2018 if they have $50k PPS value, they will become a Solitaire.

Thanks very much for your explanation. That makes sense.

Quick question. Does the double mile/segment benefit apply to a Direct flight? So, would LAX-NRT-SIN only count as one segment since it technically only has one flight number, or as I am guessing, would that be two segments?

If you are booked as LAX-SIN then should only count as one, but if booked LAX-NRT-SIN with different flight numbers and/or stopover in NRT then should count as two.
