SQ 962/963 SIN-CGK to be halted from 1st Dec due to CGK runway maintenance
Just read this.
What I don't understand is what effect a mid afternoon flight has on runway maintenance. The talk is that the runway is to be repaired and resurfaced in the off peak early morning hours. The news would have made more sense if they had talked about SQ951...
"The Indonesian authorities have informed the airline that five flights must be cut due to runway maintenance works at Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport," said SIA.
The five weekly flights being cut are SQ962 and SQ963 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The airline operates 63 flights a week to and from Jakarta....

Perhaps a combined thread then, with a title reflecting issues with the SIN-CGK route, and a date in the subject line as well. I suppose it's up to the mods.
