Booked 2 Saver Award J seats out of SFO in Late Nov, first week or so after the route was announced it was all blocked out but then it opened up quite nicely. Going to fly in row 11, bulkhead and see how it goes!

You might want to reconsider your seat assignments. Some early trip reports have made reference to the first couple of rows in J being quite claustrophobic and narrow due to the curvature of the fuselage.
These seats apparently get banged and disturbed by carts and people thanks to narrow aisles. This is likely due to the substantially narrower/smaller cabin cross-section in the A350 vs the 777 (despite Airbus' silly "XWB" marketing nonsense!).
Just something to keep in mind.

How does booking in separate cabins work? Ideally, I want to book SFO-SIN(nonstop and stopover) then to SYD(Final Destination). SFO-SIN in business and SIN-SYD in suites. Is this possible with SQ? or does it have to be two 1-way awards?

Definitely don't want to inconvenience people who have babies by taking that spot, but does SQ open these up closer to departure if they haven't been picked?
Right now I'm just middle of the main business cabin

Try calling, and make it known you weren't able to book it online and they'll give you the 15% online discount. it may have to be separate awards though

Thanks! Yea right now it's just that 9AM out of LAX isn't great for me as we have to overnight in LAX (from Miami) and then we fly SIN-USM at 8:40am (which is now the morning after the landing in SIN), so have to overnight in SIN (which we didn't need to do landing at 4am-ish before)....so hopefully at least I can get the later LAX flight...but they are also working on JFK suites for me (which is admittedly the most convenient)

I too had suites class on the A380 and was moved to F on the 9am out of LAX. I am based in SFO and was only going to LA for the bucket list suites experience with my wife. Neither the departure or arrival time on the 9am flight worked as well for me. Explained all this to the agent and they moved me to F on SQ1 from SFO. Had to wait a few days for it all be confirmed, but it just was. Bummed not to be able to try to the suites, but all in all I was impressed with how quick and reasonable they were about moving me to a flight that was departing from a different city.

Came here for the same reason...booked two saver J seats for SFO-SIN next June (I know, a year...but it's my honeymoon and I'm not playing games)...trying to get into 19, but seems blocked off for bassinets (or taken).
Definitely don't want to inconvenience people who have babies by taking that spot, but does SQ open these up closer to departure if they haven't been picked?
Right now I'm just middle of the main business cabin

I think I'll wait until closer to departure to allow anyone traveling who needs those seats to get them. I'm sure I'll survive in the plain old J seat

SQ7 LAX-ICN
17:15 – 22:30+1
[Departing on a Friday]
asking this, because i think there are 2 diff new Boeing 777-30ER or 77W available within SQ
Option 1: 4 class https://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Si..._ER_V1_new.php
Option 2: 3 class https://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Si..._777-300ER.php
