It has been confirmed VA lounge at CBR will stay open late for the CBR-SIN leg, however no access for passengers originating in WLG (or for the reverse originating in SIN and continuing to WLG).

Happened to be leaving Fairbairn as it landed... good timing...lol

Fire trucks were out to escort it in.... folks with cameras set up along the perimeter fence.....

Parked at the terminal it looked like a 1/48th scale model in a 1/72nd scale diorama....

It is the same in WLG - looks oversized next to the terminal and the much smaller a/c around.

Question is why not? Do Aussies/Kiwis who do WLG-SIN be able to get 2 boarding passes for WLG-CBR and CBR-SIN? Then they can just come through immigration and then just go to the lounge, and then clear immigration again and leave CBR?

Probably because they don't want to risk delays for passengers held up going through immigration twice in such a short transit.

If flights are on time there is only about 45 minutes from arrival to reboarding.

A go around for the inaugural flight from WLG due to fog at CBR. Not an auspicious start.

I suppose there's no lounge access for any transit pax then?

With the ex-SIN flight arriving at around 8.30am, and the ex-WLG flight arriving at around 10pm, they better get used to those go arounds.

For the ex-WLG SQ pax, do we know if the International Air NZ lounge remained open for SQ292?

The NZ international lounge opens for the flight. It was already open when I cleared immigration, so I don't know what time it opens.

No lounge access although business class passengers can have one food item and one drink item free from the cafe in CBR international gate area (need to show boarding pass). I don't think this extends to *G passengers flying in economy.

Hi all,

A noob question. Is the transit through CBR visa/ETA-free, for passengers travelling between SIN and WLG in both directions? There was an earlier report somewhere that this was being worked on.

I tried asking SQ Reservations, and was told to check with my local embassy

Thanks in advance!
