how long does it to take to issue an infant ticket?

Hi, i booked an award travel online, and it was ticketed immediately.
after that, i called the 800 number to add an in lap infant.
the agent only sent me an email with a new reference number.
in the email, it said ADULT NAME (with infant INFANT NAME)
but when i search the reservation in singaporeair.com, it gives me an error.

does it need to have a ticket number also?
if so, how long do i need to wait to ticketing?
will i get an new email?

Thanks.

@rfclub

I am in the midst of booking my infant fare. Were you charged roughly 10% of the full fare? For my LAX-NRT(F) leg, I am looking at ~$700 and HKG-SFO(J) leg, I am looking at ~$525.

Dose this sound about right?

SFO - HKG one way in business, infant ticket price $353.30.
in the email with reference number, it said Business Class (U).

they first quoted me a higher price ($4xx), but it was lowered when they asked for my credit card.

let me know how your ticketing experience is, and whether you get a ticket number.
it is almost 24 hours for me, but i got nothing but a reference number.

interesting. i just called the HKG office and was quoted the higher price. are you a redemption or paid fare?

in regards to ticketing, they usually confirm first then will need the local departure city to issue a ticket which can take a few days. but this is from my experience with rewards.

i reread your post and it seems to be a award. the agent asked if i was based in HKG or SFO, maybe that makes a difference. Where are you based if you do not mind me asking?

FT - anyone have experience with inconsistent lap infant pricing?
