77WN Hard Product

Just flew SQ 228 from Melbourne to Singapore on 9V-SWW which is a 77WN thats only 1.4 years old.

I have to say it looks amazing and elegant, however I found the in-flight entertainment system. There were only 4 passengers in F and I had to switch seats because my system kept crashing (a total of 4 times in 2 hours).

The seat I changed to had a non-working reading light as well as the attendant call button not working. Further I found the IFE to be lagging quite a bit.

Then the crew informed me that this was a regular occurrence on both the brand new 77W's and the refurbished 77W's.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Can't speak for the F cabin, but so far i've never had any IFE issues in J in the new 77wn. works flawlessly so far. The only slight lag i had was when using the touchscreen on the controller, but its still bearable.

The number of hardware hiccups you encountered seem odd. Being SQ, i would think your experiences faced could be the exception than the rule. I guess.
