Fuel surcharge discrepancy between paid and award ticket (ex-AKL)
I was looking at redeeming an AKL-JFK award ticket and noticed a sizable fuel surcharge of ~500 NZD. However when pricing a paid ticket for the same dates, fare breakdown shows 0 for fuel surcharge.
Has anyone noticed this before? Would calling to book the award ticket help get around the fuel surcharge which is being quoted online?

Fuel surcharge discrepancy between paid and award ticket (ex-AKL)
Because tickets sold in NZ include the fuel surcharge in the ticket price whereas for redemption tickets it is an extra.
