Is SQ planning to get rid of the regional recliner seats in Biz?

Some of the biz class seats are still the recliner types which seem really odd for such an airline like SQ.

Is SQ planning to change it all to full sleeper type seats?

tks

But why do they need lie-flat beds for routes such as SIN-CGK and SIN-BKK?

I have not sat on the old recliners for years now. No longer running to SGN, CGK, and BKK? Do they still have these?

Aircraft rotation. will be more flexible if all aircrafts can be used on both medium haul and short haul?

Last time I saw one was to MNL in May. Last time I looked at SilverKris magazine it indicated that there were still 2 left in the fleet.

Tomorrow, for example, SQ974 to BKK is operated by this type, as is SQ 918 to MNL, but couldn't find any others.

To my information SQ plans to phase these aircraft out and not upgrading them. In the past some of these aircraft earlier were handed down to Scoot.

So that the seats doesn't look aged, i guess?
Besides, TG also uses the their 777 with the lie flat seats for some of the SIN-BKK routes (eg, the 8:50pm flight).

No. They are angled flat seats.

They should switch those out to lie flat.

It's 2015, why do they still even have angled flats.

The angled flat seats on SQ are on their regional routes, and they are really great as a regional J seat compared to what, for example, CX offers as a regional J offering.

True, the new CX regional business class seats are 2-3-2 recliners.

Agree! Can't comment on CX since I've never flown them but the SQ A330 is a great product. A lot of this is perception based and being based in the US, I'll take angle flat on regional flights....
