Advise for upcoming Suites trip!

I have an upcoming trip from AKL-SIN // SIN-NRT-LAX and have a few questions scattered below. All 2 (3) legs are on the A380 in suites class.

AKL-SIN: No book the cook option on this flight, so planning to enjoy whatever is on board. Selected window seat as not planning to do much sleeping. Arrive SIN at around 7pm.

SIN (arrive 7pm, depart next morning around 9am). Upon arrival, planning to head to the Private Room for dinner. Will I have access given that my next flight isn't until the next morning? Will I have to re-clear security? Will I need to reclaim my bag if it's tagged through to LAX?

Next morning I have SQ provided transport back to the airport....will they drop me off at a special area for first/suites class passengers?

SIN-NRT: Did book the cook rack of lamb. Have done BtC in J before with not the best experience. However, the lamb is not available on the J BtC menu so hopefully this being only a 1st class preparation will ensure it's better. Anyone try this? Also, selected a "middle" seat, as the adjacent seat is vacant. Hoping to get lucky with a double bed!!

NRT (short stopover approx. 1hr45mins): Will I be able to leave the plane? If so, where to....can I access the ANA suites lounge? Any other lounges?

NRT-LAX: Opted not to BtC on this one for the surprise of what's on board.

LAX: Have an onward domestic flight in Y but a few hour layover. I understand you can now access any terminal (TBIT included) with a same day boarding pass. Will I be able to access the TBIT *A first class lounge given my arrival on SQ F but departure on UA Y? I'm *G so I believe I could at least access the *G lounge.

Not sure the answer to your other questions, but after landing in NRT you have to disembark and go through transit security anyway. As a suites passenger, you won't have to spend that much time in line since you'll be the first group off the plane. You'll have access to the ANA suites lounge and business class lounge. I'm sure you'd also be able to access the other Star Alliance lounges, but you only have 1h45m on the ground total, which doesn't give you a lot of time to wander around the terminal to lounge hop.

We just completed a similar trip. Your chances of getting into the Private room are good, but not for sure. We were staying in the transit hotel in the airport airside, and this fact seemed to sway the hostess at the Silverkris Lounge, who escorted us to the PR the evening before our 9am departure for NRT and LAX.

Your chances of getting into the Star Alliance lounge (which Singapore uses)
at LAX are quite poor. It will be manned by SA personnel, and the rules for that lounge explicitly state it is for departing F and J passengers only, and for other elite members, lounge members etc. Never hurts to ask, though.

Was access a potential issue because you couldn't get through security without having a transit hotel reservation, or was the concern that SQ didn't want to let you in to the lounge itself?

I won't try to answer most of the questions because i don't have any personal experience, but in SIN when you depend from AKL you should be free to wander the terminal. AFAIK there is no security to go through, and you only through immigration when leaving the airport.

You will be allowed into the Private Room with your onward boarding pass. After dinner you can exit immigration. (I'm not sure if that answers your question about clearing security).

If you check your bags all the way through you will not have to reclaim your bags in SIN.

I'm sure you can be dropped off at the Terminal 3 First Class vehicle area if you tell the driver to go there.

I have not noticed any difference in meal preparation between first and business book the cook. All the times I've done it, the food has been excellent in either first or business.

You will have to clear security in NRT. Probably it's best to go to the back security transit area near the number 40 gates. It will probably be the security area closest to your plane, but most people will take the moving walkways to the more central transit area, which is also the direction to immigration.

The issue was access to the PR. Security will let you through a day in advance of your flight whether you have a reservation at the transit hotel or not.

The afternoon and early evening are not busy times in the PR. At first, the people at the check in counter outside security told us we could not use the PR the day before. However, when we told them we were staying at the transit hotel, they changed their mind. It appeared they had considered this question before, as the approval was instant. They did not require proof of the reservation.

The transit hotel is not great, but it is acceptable and reasonably priced.
Very cool to wake up in the morning, and be seated in the PR having breakfast 15 minutes later.

TPR will be empty when you arrive (as it was for me last week!) - as others have noted, IME they will let you in if you're staying at the transit hotel, no issues. Have to say though, I would be dropping my bags off and going into the city for dinner!

I'm sorry you were treated this way. It neither makes sense, nor is it easily enforceable. For example, what about flights that leave at 1am or 2am? Wouldn't those flights require access the day before (esp. since TPR closes before then)?

I've had dinner at TPR before my next day afternoon flight several times without any problem.

When you arrive at LAX on SQ12, you have to clear the customs and collect your bags (even though it is checked to your destination). Then, on your way out, you can drop it off at the transfer counter (still in TBIT). After that, I think you have to either walk or catch the LAX bus to another terminal (depending on which airline you fly with).
Therefore, I don't think you will have access to TBIT lounge at all.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Can I please ask you to clarify that? Is there a hotel airside at SIN? Landside I know about Crowne Plaza and the small one The Heaven (?) which is at arrivals hall at T3, I suppose. Is there any other option?

Thank you very much.

I believe there is a new policy at LAX where you may access *any* terminal with any same day boarding pass.
