Refund Redemption Booking
My redemption booking on SIN-BKK (SQ972) on 22-October on C is now confirmed. I still have another redemption booking on the same flight on Y is still in waiting list.
Not really want to spend 17,500 miles for 2 hours flights on C.
As 22-October is public holiday now, I think changes for Y to get clear is a bit slim.
My question, assuming I issued the C class now and wait for the Y class until last minutes, and if it does clear, can I refund the C and issue a Y?

Yes, you can. There is an administrative fee of US$30 to refund a redemption ticket if you have no status.
If you have enough miles to redeem the Y, u can do it online. if you don't have enough points to issue the Y ticket, you need to call KF services so that they can do the refund for you and redeposit the miles immediately so that you can issue your Y ticket.

I guess the USD30 will be waived for Silver and Gold?

Because I got 10,000 miles to be expired in December.
Also the date I am looking there is no "cheap" one-way ticket to BKK. Even Air Asia or any budget is selling around $100 (before adding into luggage and CC surcharge).
What you will recommend to spend the hard earned miles then?

If that the case, I may as well extend it for 6 more months.

I read it as: Silver and Gold can extend for 12 month only and the respective fee applies.

Yeah I just realize that also. Anyway, I have issued the ticket as the deadline is today.
