First Class Pricing of India-SIN flights

OK, so I fancied some more first class suites on the SQ A380 so I have been dummy booking online to see what the prices are like (for 22 October, FWIW).

Can you believe that DEL-SIN is 129k IDR in A380 Suites or 128k IDR in business class on the A330 flight?

Why wouldn't someone pay the extra 1000IDR (which is what, Ł10?) for suites on the A380 if they were faced with a mere business class flight on an old A333?

I know some people prefer day flights (the A380 is a redeye) but come on!

Is this a pricing mistake from SQ on their website? ^

I also tried BOM-SIN and again there was a 1000IDR difference between Suites on the A380 and business on the B777!

Maybe there's a good reason you will educate me about, because otherwise it's madness!

Maybe there are many business travellers who need to fly on the A330's timetable, and will pay that much without batting an eyelash?

On the SQ app, it's showing INR 70k for the A333 departure in J, and INR 130k for the A380 in R. What am I missing?

Not what I see on the main site.

Wouldn't be the first time SQ have different prices for different platforms.

I agree INR 70K sounds more realistic, though.

EDIT: Hmm, the app is indeed saying that.

Are you comparing prices that come up on the same screen when you search for F/R?

If you want to see the actual J fare, you have to specify J. Searching for F/R on a non-F/R flight will give the full J fare vs discounted F, which is indeed very similar in price.

Probably on that particular departure day he checked, Biz is quite full.

No - the date I checked is the one he specified in the OP.

The A330 isn't old. The average fleet age is lower than the A380 average.
