Seats to IST

Rather confused with all the different types of 777, and changes to IST (from one-stop to non-stop service) - what seat is on the 777 on this route in C? And does it have AVOD?

Thanks

IST is the 777-200ER. So basically the old spacebeds in 2-2-2 config.

Not lie flat but I found them v comfortable and prefer them to LH though I think the TK J seat on the A330 IST-SIN is better.. As is the theatre of the cook in his hat coming round taking dinner orders and the barman behind his counter at the front of the cabin... :-)

Yes it has AVOD.

I believe that they are refurbishing the 772-ER to get the new regional business seat (basically an updated version of the spacebed) however that should also mean IFE upgrade.

Thanks all.
There are some great fares IST-SIN-SYD rt in business - around EUR 2900. Planning to make use of it next month - not sure if I'll have the retrofitted seats by then.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but I would like to know what is the type of J seat currently to IST - still the slopey flat or full lie flat like the 77W / A380 etc. Appreciate if anyone has taken this flight recently to please update.

its a flat seat but not very comfortable, and the service on the red eye to IST is patchy and equally poor on return.

So would you choose TK's C instead on this route?

Isn't it just the standard SQ long haul J seat or variation of (2006 seat introduced onto 77W), retrofitted onto 777-200ER, in 1-2-1 layout?

Yes I flew IST-SIN last month, it was 772ER 1-2-1 config, older IFE no WIFI.

Book the cook is no more ex-IST. And it's still a busride to the aircraft. TK Lounge is the only upside there.
