Few interesting tidbits...LH F and C

Hi,

Just had a really interesting conversation with a "LH insider":
(1) SEN + does exist. Its called "Golden Senator" by the crew
(2) LH will be upgrading the Business Class service in the upcoming months. The service will include a) new china b) 3 appetizers options c) 4 dinner options d) Eat at anytime or express (all on one tray) or regular meal service. They will be testing this concept on some flights in March.
(3) New F class when 380 comes out: will have 16 suites, on 744 12 suites.

That SEN+ exists is nothing new really. The question is that nobody seems to know what it means or how to get it ?

New F with 16 and 12 seats is good news, however how are 12 seats configured on the 747? The cabin is effectively divided in half by the emergency exits. Presuming F would stay on the upper deck I don't quite see how this could work other than a 1x1x1 four rows down ?

What´s the good news here? The old seats will be flying around in 2008 and 2009 and only god knows how long the replacement will take for the rest of the fleet...

A national disgrace!

I actually think that the "old" F seats will be around for quite some time is good news. At least the award and upgrade availability will not change soon !

Watch this space once the new F suite is installed fleet-wide and upgrades will not clear...
