Is this their frequent flyer program? Can you tell is how points/miles will accumulate or be redeemed?

I have no idea what it does, I just signed up for it. HAHA. Looks like their keeping track of all the flights you been on and will be going on and I guess once they figure out their awards / point / miles system, they'll retro it back to all the flights you've been on with them. I think that what their doing.

On eleVAte you earn 5 points for every $1 spent. You earn free trips after 4,900 points. There are no blackout dates ever on eleVAte. Those who join by the end of '07 become a "Founding Member".

I'm booked on the 8th SFO to LAX as well and then the following week to JFK. I booked JFK in first (about $800.00 round trip) which is a great deal if the product is as good as it looks on the web site. Its been hard to do anything this morning since the web site seems to be overloaded.

This is not exactly what the website says, but in any event it's difficult to see, in the long run, how four roundtrips would not generate 4,900 points 4 x 245 = $980 = 4,900 points.

I can't book any Aug 8th flight

Hi all,

I am so excited for VX and have literally been waiting patiently... but...

I tried to book the inaugural flights on August 8th this morning at 2:30amPDT and none were available... so I tried till 3am PDT and called the new reservation line only to be told... they were not for sale till August 9th.

I wonder how you guys get to book this inaugural flight!

I just wrote to both the customer line and media folks... begging to buy a seat on the inaugural.

The flights showed sold out, but yet seats seem to be available in F and Y.

I guess they must be blocking for VIPs, but I find it a bit disappointing that some of the seats are not available for us.

Well I booked LAX-SFO-JFK on August 9th now.

When I booked a few hours ago on the web site, the only flight left was a 4:15 SFO to LAX (coach only) and nothing LAX SFO on the 8th. I grabbed the 4:15 and return the following morning.

What can I expect in terms of food service in First Class SFO-JFK? I'm ready to book the $389 promo and cancel my $645 ticket on CO SFO-EWR. But not before finding out what I'll get (or won't get) up front on VA.
The link to "see the VA difference" isn't working....

Maybe you earn a ticket if you either fly 4 round trip or if you earn 4900 points, which ever is first. Like if you book all your travel during peak time in first class when fares are super expensive than I can see how you can earn 4900 points with out having to fly 4 round trips.
