OK, I admit it. I bought a Ryanair 'free' flight for £0.02 all in

Anybody noticed Ryanair's curious 'million free seats' offer, where they pay APD and other surcharges, and even absorb their own notorious wheelchair 'levy'.

We're off for lunch in Dublin having paid all of £0.04 in total for the two of us, with no surcharge for debit card payment.

It would be really, really ungentlemanly to make a block booking for 25 (maximum allowed for an online reservation) for a total of 50p, ensuring reasonable space in the cabin. So ungentlemanly that I'm tempted to try.

Book by Monday 21 May.

Nothing ignominious about that IMHO, for that price who'd blame you

I note with interest that FR will be flying to BUD from EMA (East Midlands) from October ^ Not in time for the do in July though

Indeed, I have booked 104 flights to date. I shall be booking more later.

I booked no less that 76 seats on one flight - LPL-DUB! One for myself an 75 made up names who obviously have no intention of checking in, just to ensure a bit of extra leg room .

Terrible I know, but they've screwed me over enough times!

You might as well make the flight overbooked... does FR give VDB compensation?

I've tried this but I can't get it to *not* charge me for checked baggage. I don't want to check any bags in! How do you get the flight for just the 1p? (Tried searching the forums but clearly I'm not searching for the right terms!).

Did I misread something or what about taxes? the 0.01 fares would require some tax right? I've done FR to MMX for 0.01p but I ended up paying about £15 total with taxes.

Flights for £0.02

A novel way to suck up the bosses a*** when you put in your expense sheet.

When you get to the names page, the dropdown box offers X number of bags for each passenger to check in. Click 0 and the default assumes you want the £4 priority boarding experience.

Hidden in the next para (3rd line) is the Remove link which brings the option to £0.

Yes, that's right. Except this offer is £0.01 each way all in - Ryanair pays the APD and psc's. They hope you will buy inflight catering, hotels, car hire etc. (We won't.)

But you have to book by tomorrow midnight.

For an outlay of 76p? [Stands back and raises virtual hat in admiration.]

Hrm. This still doesn't work the way I expect it to. for instance,

Going Out

Web fare
Adult Reg Fare 0.01 GBP

Mon, 11 Jun 07
Flight 8748
08:30 Depart London Stansted (STN)
11:00 Arrive La Rochelle (LRH)

Coming Back

Web fare
Adult Reg Fare 0.01 GBP

Thu, 14 Jun 07
Flight 8747
18:15 Depart La Rochelle (LRH)
18:40 Arrive London Stansted (STN)
But

Pricing

Going Out (Web fare)
5 @ 0.01 GBP 0.05 GBP
Taxes, Fees & Charges
details 126.00 GBP

Coming Back (Web fare)
5 @ 0.01 GBP 0.05 GBP
Taxes, Fees & Charges
details 96.75 GBP
So it appears it's charging me taxes on mon-thurs...

Odd
