Royal Silk C-Class Menus

Don't know if anyone is interested in these on the Thai Airways forum, but there seems to be a lot of interest on the SQ and UA forums. I will post some menus from our recent TG flights below.

Hey, at least the menus weren't full of spelling mistakes. I always get a laugh out of the ICN-BKK menus as I don't think I've seen one yet without some very noticeable mistakes.

Thanks for posting. Unfortunately the food always sounds better than it tastes. At least on my route from FRA to BKK.

Could you also list the wines served? Thank you.

I assume you would want F wine list right? If no one else post it, I will do so later on next week. I am currently away and don't have any of the F/C winelist which I got fr a few months ago when they still exist.

TG Royal Silk menu BKK-JFK Nov 06

To Start: One shrimp cut in to 3 pieces to make it look larger.

Salad: One lettuce leaf, one slice of cucumber, cherry tomato so wrinkled and soft it looked like a prune.

Entree: A piece of chicken that was more fat than meat, the size of a sparrow. Served in a dish the same size as most economy class meals (for the airlines that still have economy meals that is).

Choice: Take it or leave it.

All served by a smiling fight attendant whose smile was so forced I could feel her corset straining.

Awful, just awful.

Actually, I would be interested to know the wines served in C to compare with SQ, CX and the likes. As you know I am very disapointed by the drop in quality of F wines.

No worries I have every year of TG's C menu for the LHR-BKK leg dated back to 1998. I'll post them next week. I was looking at it myself a few weeks ago at how they changed the champagne served in C over the years. I like Moet more than Lanson to be honest (But still far better than what they give on LH's C)

Does anyone know what the liquor options are for TG flights in Royal Silk class? In particular, what scotch do they offer?

That's right. I had probably the worst international C meals ever back in March flying BKK-HKG-LAX.

I am always amazed at either:
1) how subjective meal service is among passengers or
2) how inconsistent catering service can be

I had my first C experience on Thai a couple weeks ago BKK->PEK and had the best meal in C I have seen so far. Great quality and quantity, excellent service.

I do love to read about everyone's experience...
