What's up with the ANA website for checking Air New Zealand flights between LAX-AKL? Previosuly till today, there would be either an X or O indicating if seats were available or not, but now there are black triangles in each box, even first class which Air New Zealand does not offer.

The "black triangles" (= 'on request only') usually appear when there is a problem with the airline's system / database connection. This should be resolved soon.

Yes, apparently there is a problem. I called United to inquire about some availability, and they were not able to access Air New Zealand flights. It's been 24 hrs since I noticed this problem, interesting that it's not been resolved yet.

As of today's date, still nothing. I am surprised it has gone on this long. I've called United again, and they are still having difficulty accessing award seats. I am also surprised there is not more stated about it on FT.

Aeroplan are advising that NZ seem to have some problem with their link to Starnet. Like M+, Aeroplan cannot see any NZ reward space.

Still no word. I assume Air New Zealand is still part of the Star Alliance?

Do you think ANZ or United is aware? When I called United, they told me to check back later. They must not be informing the reps of the problem.

I booked an award on NZ via LH FTL hotline without any problems this monday (Dec 18). Awards were visible to LH.

Aeroplan reps have also not been able to connect...for nearly 2 weeks now! That's still the case as of today.

Has anyone had recent (since the ANA site has not worked for Air New Zealand) experience booking an Air New Zealand award through United?

Huh, still nothing today. I did try calling United last night, but with the problems in Denver, I could not get through.
